Profile
Yellow Diva designs and manufactures engaging and original furniture for the commercial, hospitality and residential sectors.

The design studio was born in London, the collaboration between David Walley, a young Australian industrial designer and James Davis, a British architecture student.  Yellow Diva - an almost anagram of their surnames - was established in 1994 and within a year they launched their first series of organic, sculptural, upholstered chairs, stools and chaise longues, at the inaugural 100% Design, Chelsea.

Relocating to Australia in 2008 brought with it an opportunity to diversify.  Now firmly established in Melbourne, the studio has evolved to comprise an expansive portfolio of furniture and products.  The new Limited Edition range allows for experimentation alongside more commercially focused projects.  The studio also undertakes commissions and site-specific installations.

Yellow Diva clients include Microsoft, Virgin, Top Shop, Guess, Sheraton Hotels, Centerparcs, FCO, Optus, Google, Panasonic, National Gallery of Victoria, Hickory Developments, David Jones, ABC Television, Gallery of Modern Art, Schneider Electric, NBN, National Australia Bank, RMIT and numerous other universities.
